I have three favorite memories from this school year. My first memory was when we played bored games the whole period on Cinco de Mayo day and me and my friends played a lot of them that day and we had lots of fun having that free time. My second memory was when we worked on our 20% project. I really like doing this because we got to do this a lot in class instead of doing work and I had a good time making all my bracelets and planning out all what my bored was going to look like and stuff like that. And my third favorite memory from this school year was cooking a bunch of different foods in home ec. We got to make things that I never thought we could make and I learned a lot of cool techniques that would help me.

The people in this photo have different reactions. I think the one on the left represents satisfaction because he already has so much and he’s not satisfied with what he has he just wants more when he already has plenty of toys. And I think the one on the right represents happiness because he has one toy in front of him and it looks like a really cheap toy and hes still super happy that he at least has something to play with.

When I was working on my 20% project this week I started working on what I am going to say in my presentation. I worked on all the steps I have to put in and had to make sure I didn’t miss a part. Some success I was able to make was I remade most of the bracelets I messed up on and fixed what I had messed up on on them. This week was a little tough because it was really hard to go to the middle of the bracelet to fix it. Next week I could focus on finishing the rest of the bracelets I messed up on.

When I was working on my 20% project this week I started to plan out what my bored is going to look like. I looked at lots of inspiration to do and then I started to gather my things so when I have the bored I know what to do. Some success was I was able to get some of my things and decorations for my bored early. I did have a struggle though, I realized looking back at some of the bracelets I made in a lot of them I did a wrong step and it’s a little noticeable. That’s not to good so my focus for next week is to get that fixed and also accomplish the things I wanted to get done next week.

When I was working on my 20% project this week I finished the majority amount of bracelets I needed to make and all of my colors. Some success I was able to accomplish was making all of my bracelets because each one takes a long time to make, so at least now I can focus on some other important things. This was a good week since I didn’t have any struggles. Because I only got done with bracelet making this week next week I will focus on planning what my trifolds gonna look like and other important things.

My favorite room in my house is my bathroom. My first reason why my bathroom is my favorite room is because I love to get ready in the morning and do my makeup and I spend a lot of time their in the morning anyway to do my hair and stuff like that. My second reason is because I love to take long showers and I spend about a hour in the shower every night. And my third reason I love my bathroom so much is because I have lots of skin care products in there and i like to take a good amount of time doing that. So basically I love my bathroom because I love to get ready and unready with myself.

When I was working on my 20% project this week I finished finding the right video that would work just right for me to do both in class and at home. I realized that’s it’s pretty hard to do a part in my bracelet making witch is the tying part at the end and that’s really throwing me back a couple steps and I know that I could be further in my project. This week I’m really trying to focus on doing the part I’m not that confident about and I’m going to try to get better at it so I know what I’m doing. Because this week went a little slow for me I’m going to have to pay attention to where I’m at on my project so I don’t fall behind. And next week I will be working on making tons of bracelets and not mess up and thinking about what I’m going to on how to explain my steps and what my boreds going to be like.

In week one this is what I accomplished in my bracelet making. This week I accomplished researching a bunch of different videos and trying to find the right one that would work best for me. I did make one bracelet and only one just because I needed to make sure I did it right so that when I need to make more I can just look at my example one I made. And I only had one struggle and that was because my bracelets are a certain kind and you need fire for that and you can’t bring fire to school so I had to come up with a way to not use fire and to use something else to hold the bracelets together.

For this month I read “The Cay” by Theodore Taylor. This book starts in world war 2 a boy Phillip and his mom go on the S.S. Hato to virginia because his mom says its not safe to stay in curacao “that’s where they live” with the German submarines that are all over the place. Then ship gets torpedoed and Phillip is stranded in the sea with a really old man named Timothy and a cat named Stew Cat. As they keep floating at the sea Phillip gets blind because of the hot sun. Then they find a island that’s called Devil’sMouth and they build a hut and they were keeping track of the days. They live together for two months. They learn more about each other since they came from different places and they both bond really well by the end. Timothy was very old so he taught Phillip how to survive on his own and do things since he’s blind. Tords the end a hurricane hits the cay and all of their huts and shelter is destroyed. The next day Timothy dies from the hurricane. Phillip was so sad so he digs a small grave for him. Finally, Phillip is then rescued by a navy vessel. Then a year after him and Timothy find the island he has lots of surgeries to get to see again and get healthy. But unfortunately his sight was so bad he couldn’t get to see again.

I liked this book because I really got hooked onto it because every second something happened and I always wanted to find out if they were ok or something bad happened or if they found a island instead of the tiny raft they were on.

My favorite character from the book was Timothy. He was my favorite because as old as he was he put a random boy first no matter what circumstance he was in and he was never mean to Phillip. He knew after everything that was happening during the book he might pass some day so he wanted to do all he could to make sure Phillip could take care of himself and survive.

My favorite quote from the book is “ wanting to hear from Timothy, I asked him why there were different colors of skin, white and black, brown and red, and he left back,“why b’diffrent color? I true don’ know, Phill-eep, but I true think beneath d’skin is all d’same.” This is my favorite quote because Phillips mom didn’t like people with different skin color especially black and she would never tell Phillip, but he always wanted to know why. So he took the opportunity and asked Timothy since he was black. Once Timothy had told him he had never wondered why his mom didn’t like black people because they were all the same. I like it because it shows that no matter what skin color you have your the same just like other people.

If I could pick any dream job it would be a fashion designer. There are so many reasons why, my first reason is that I’m obsessed with clothes I could live in my favorite clothing place and never get bored. My second reason is that I love to put together outfits so I could pick out different pieces and style them in lots of different ways. My third treason is I love to buy clothes. I would buy any clothes no matter what price they are and I could make a cute set and then sell it for a lot so I can make prophet. I would buy a bunch of name brand popular clothing and people would want to buy because it’s the style now. I think I would be a really good fashion designer.
